HowTheLightGetsIn: Phillip Blond & John Milbank speak at the festival for philosophy and ideas

27th April 2015

Phillip Blond and John Milbank will be speaking at HowTheLightGetsIn, the world’s largest philosophy and music festival, this May. Bringing together world-leading scientists, musicians, philosophers and politicians including Roger Penrose, Natalie Bennett, David Aaronovitch, Paul Krugman, Fiona Shaw, Robert Shiller, Polly Toynbee, Lianne La Havas, Tariq Ali, Martin Creed, and John Searle for debates, talks and wild parties, this year’s programme uncovers the new fantasies that could become the realities of tomorrow.

Phillip Blond will join Charlotte Leslie and Philip Collins to debate the tension between individual and community, speak on the post-liberal society, and also debate whether cultural relativism has run its course.

John Milbank will debate our belief in the gods with Stephen Law and Madawi al-Rasheed, host a tea, cake and philosophy session, and also debate science, magic and the inexplicable. For more info head to www.howthelightgetsin.org
