Alastair Marke

Alastair Marke is a Research Associate at ResPublica, working within the New Economies, Innovative Markets workstream. In ResPublica, he has participated in projects relating to co-operative council, new company models, social financing and community energy, etc. Prior to joining ResPublica, Alastair has previously worked as a policy advisor to a think tank advocating new economics and a researcher for a sustainability research group at the University of Surrey. He has also served in Hong Kong’s civil service where he was involved in the implementation of trade and industrial support policy, including business loan guarantee schemes. Alastair has a Master’s degree in Sustainable Development (Distinction) and his dissertation studies new legal instruments for social enterprises and sustainable economy.
