Matt Stokes

Events and Research Assistant

Matt joined ResPublica in January 2015 as Research and Events Assistant. He graduated with a First in French and Spanish from the University of Oxford, where he won the Fluchère Essay Prize for French and the Chris Wood French Prize. He was also News Editor at The Oxford Student and President of the Oxford Media Society, and has worked in journalism, PR, marketing and publishing in the UK, France and Spain. His current interests are in the post-crisis economic landscape, inequality and democracy. Outside the office, he enjoys cooking, art and reading an unhealthy number of Guardian articles.
