How can the private sector help the Big Society abroad?

ResPublica Director Phillip Blond speaking at Bright Blue event

The Coalition Government is keen for private businesses to flourish in some of the poorest countries in the world: a private sector unit has recently been established in the Department for International Development (DfID), with the intention of private enterprise being in the DNA of DfID. This event attempts to debate what positive role businesses can play in supporting development internationally.

ResPublica Director Phillip Blond will be speaking alongside Jesse Norman MP; Hugh Millward, Head of Advocacy and Responsibility, Starbucks; and Belinda Calaguas, Campaigns Director, Action Aid at 7pm on February 29th.
