The Head of Economics Unit will need to demonstrate his/her ability to synthesise and simplify complex issues for specialist and generalist audiences, plus top flight economic, econometric and data analysis skills.
Leveraging ResPublica's first-rate contact database, each Unit Head will work with a diverse mix of politicians, policymakers, NGOs, entrepreneurs and academics to develop and fund transformative projects, production of first class research on the basis of new and innovative ideas and policies. (Previous experience of fundraising or grant applications is desirable though not essential).
Core competencies and skills required:
•Proven track record in relevant policy area, backed by strong academic credentials, preferably with relevant post-graduate degree;
•Deep knowledge of / interest in contemporary UK and international politics and broadly supportive of civil society-based and localist solutions to public policy questions;
•Excellent contacts across academia, government and business;
•Outstanding verbal and written communicator, with project / staff management expertise.
Salary: Competitive bonus.
This position is based in Westminster.
