Deprived teenagers need military academies to instil a sense of purpose, says think

Military academies should be introduced into Britain’s most deprived areas in a bid to arrest educational failure and social breakdown, according to a report from a leading think-tank.

The paper by ResPublica calls for 10 academies to be set up in England and Wales in “areas with the greatest concentration of young people who are NEET (not in employment, education or training) or at risk of becoming NEET”.
