He is a member of the Guardian/Courvoisier Future 500 Network, an Ambassador for Enterprise UK, was Square Mile Magazine's 2010/11 Young City Lawyer of the Year, and is nominated as a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader. He sits on Cambridge's University's Alumni Advisory Board, serves on the 48 Group Club's Young Icebreakers Committee, and is an Advisory Board member for One Young World. He was a member of the Conservative Party's Globalisation and Global Poverty Policy Group. He is Co-Chairman of Conservative Fastrack and a member of TheCityUK's Next Generation VisionGroup. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a Freeman of the City of London. Alan has an MA(Hons) in Law from the University of Cambridge where he won the ECS Wade Prize for Administrative Law (Top of Year).
